Esperimenti con i bambini: il magnestismo da elettricità/ Experiments with children: magnestism from electricity

Domenica pomeriggio ci siamo cimentati con molte attività di cucina (poi ve ne parlerò) e con un piccolo esperimento scientifico.
Abbiamo provato a creare una forza magnetica con l'ausilio di una batteria.
Il risultato dell'esperimento lo vedete nelle foto qui sotto, che cosa occorre è semplice:

• una batteria, possibilmente del vecchio tipo rettangolare grande con le due linguette metalliche in cima (noi non l'avevamo, ne abbiamo usata una mezza torcia, molto meno potente e pratica, ma funziona lo stesso!)
• del filo metallico conduttore
• nel nostro caso, un po' di nastro adesivo (per fissare il filo alla batteria tonda)
• due viti metalliche

Che cosa succede? l'elettricità, passando attraverso il filo girato molte volte intorno alla vite (in forma di spirale, dunque), produce un piccolo campo magnetico e fa sì che la prima vite attiri la seconda. Fenomeni di natura! E grande meraviglia die bambini!

 E lasciando anche solo un pochino il filo da uno dei due lati:

Sunday afternoon we dedicated our time to cooking (and I'll talk about it later) and some small scientific experiments.
We tried and obtained a magnetic force from electricity, with the help of a bettery.
The results can be seen in the pictures above, what is needed is quite simple and possibly already at hand:

• a battery, possibly the very old type, rectangular and with two long metal parts on top of it (we didn't have it, so we tried with a round one, a C type)
• metal wire
• some adhesive tape in our case (to fix the metal wire to the round battery)
• two metal screws

But what happens? Electricity, passing through the metal wire bound in spirals, creates a small magnetic field and makes the first screw attract the second one. Natural and electrical phenomena! And great marvel on the child's side!
